My Stylish Chicken Coop

This summer, one of my projects has been to make a chicken coop. I had a kids play house that the kids weren't playing in anymore and insulated it, added some walls, and a vinyl floor, then moved a pen for scratching over behind it and TaaDaa! A Chicken House.

What not to do when you live in the wild.

I learned the hard way that hammocks in trees are a NO-No when you live by moose and deer. Now you must know by now that I think of the wild animals as my pets and friends, so I was horrified to see that a moose had come into our yard while we were away, no doubt trying to find something he could scratch his head and neck against, as they have done for years with our hammocks, until now. The 4 or 5 year old moose got his neck stuck in the hammock and wrapped it around his neck so tight that it strangled him. I was so sad, he was a beautiful animal.

Wait There's More...

For some reason my blog area wouldn't let me keep posting, so I'll have to finish my catching up here too. Scroll down for more Yeaman highlights. Jesse has field day at school....
Jesse graduates from kindergarten, here he is with his teachers Miss Roberts and Miss Natalia. This is our Father's Day picture, by the time I got around to taking the picture, the teenagers had gone to bed and the little ones were holding out, we tried.
Last week was Webleos camp. We had off again, on again rain. My little Webelos had a great time and even got their Aquanaut activity badge even though it was cold in the pool that day. Then we went to Grandma Loreens work party and helped her make cotton candy and had a fun time getting sticky and watching how big the cotton candy could get!
That's about it on the catching up. July is almost here and it will be busy with hay cutting, 4th of July, summer classes for the kids, and a big garage sale where I'm hoping to get rid of all my junk! It'll be on July 11th if anyone wants to spend their dollars!

I'm Signing in and Catching Up!

Oh my gosh time flies by! Here's an update on the Yeamans' highlights In May I got to go to Woodbadge! I loved it, and this is my patrol. We worked well together and had a blast.
Jesse had a field trip to This is the Place Monument Park, he got very excited and loved/hated that the little calf licked him everytime he put his hand out.
jpg I have an Eagle Court of Honor, and since Porter and I are both deck out in uniform I make him take a picture with me. Juliann got a new haircut, I like this one!
Tanner gets in trouble for derogatory talk and gets to write a paper on it. Ya gotta love discipline!
Jesse grows a bean in school and is proud-proud-proud!
