Yummy Delicious at Ken and Nancys

We all got together at Ken and Nancy's house last Saturday for our holiday party and gift exchange. The food was a delicious fondue and everyone one was dipping to their hearts content (especially Ken when he found out the fondue had wine in it) hiccup! Thanks Nancy and Ken for opening up your house to us all!

The Unforgetable Pinewood Derby

It's time for the Pinewood Derby again for my Scout pack. We met last night at the church for some "heats" in good spirited fashion. This is were the fiasco starts. Before we got any of our boys cars on the track, one little girl runs behind the racetrack and gets her foot caught in the cord that leads to the timing mechanism of each car, rips it off the wall and destroys the plug in part so now we can't time any of the cars, but....thank goodness the 1st, 2nd, and 3,rd place timer still works. We can go on! About 5 minutes after the first "accident" another young man is running through the gym and hits our Cub Scout Masters lap top onto the hard wooden floor with a smack! And, not one parent ( of his ) asks if the computer is working alright or needs to be fixed or replaced. Amazing! So, we have started the races and some of the visiting older brothers and sisters get bored, so they decide to take a ball and play dodge ball in the Relief Society room and one of the kids kicked the ball in the air and smashed a chandelier! Glass everywhere. I cannot get over the stupidity! Has anyone ever had this much damage in one church related activity in one night? Here is a picture of my boys who were good and won that night, Andrew got 3rd place, Matthew got 1st place, and Daniel got 2nd place.

We Made it for Seven Years!

David and I celebrated our 7 year anniversary tonight at Benihanas. Seven years has gone pretty fast and he hasn't bored me yet! I must have picked the right one this time. Thanks Hon!

Porter Turns 17!

My baby boy is seventeen, 6 ft 3 inches, with a head full of curly hair. What do you think I got him for his birthday? An electric shaver, yes, he's got facial hair too! We had a fun birthday this year with paint-ball wars in the back yard, dinner, movies, and guitar jammin' with his buddies and Mom & Dad. I think that was the funnest part, watching what the boys knew how to play and they were even brave enough to sing for us. A very fun night. (Porters the blond on the left.)
